Ferrara Centro documentazione mondo agricolo (Rural World Documentation Centre) The centre documents rural work and life from the late 19th to the mid-20th century. One section is dedicated to farming implements, and includes rare pieces from abroad. Very interesting are the documents relating to land reclamation, fruit growing and the itinerant trading activities associated with the farming world. A second section presents the home and activities of the rural village – the inns, old shops, artisan workshops, church, school. The museum boasts a wonderful collection of puppets. Comacchio Manifattura dei Marinati (Marinade Manufacture) The great eel marinating factory is a piece of history of the Po Delta. Following careful restoration, it has been returned to its original splendour: the Fire Room, with its twelve operating fireplaces, the ancient buildings, the boats, the barrels and the smells. Museo delle valli (Marshes Museum) The Marshes of Comacchio are privileged places for discovering the rich and singular culture of the Po Delta and this is the richest and most suggestive museum of this culture. A dynamic and open museum that stretches beyond walls and exhibits. One museum path leads visitors to the "casoni", "tabarre", and "cavanne", the old houses of the local inhabitants provided with original furniture and tools. Argenta Ecomuseo (Ecomuseum) Situated in the Campotto hunting lodge, the museum is split into three sections – archaeology, natural environment, with terrariums and aquariums, and a room of sounds with the "concerto della Valle" (the concert of the Valley), which reproduces the sounds of nature and contains a water management model. This museum took the European Museum of the Year award in 1992, because of the originality of its communication and didactic systems. Ostellato Museo civico di storia naturale del Delta del Po (Civic Museum of Natural History of the Po Delta) The museum houses numerous collections of outstanding historical interest, with over ten thousand artefacts. Sections on the geology and geomorphology of the Delta Park area are completed by exhibitions of ornithology, osteology, sea and inland waters palaeontology and biology.
