Marina di Ravenna - Porto Corsini
The harbour of Marina di Ravenna, situated at the mouth of the Candiano Channel which connects Ravenna with the sea, is the largest and best-equipped harbour among the ones situated in the 9 lidos of Ravenna, as well as one of the most important Italian harbours thanks to the trade activities it involves. It can host up to 661 15-metre-long boats. It was commissioned in 1736 by Pope Clemente XII Corsini, who gave it his name. Situated halfway between Venice and Ancona, it is characterized by two 3-kilometre-long outer breakwaters which protect both the northern and the southern mouths. Inside the breakwaters are the piers. Between the southern outer breakwater and the eastern pier only pleasure and sailing boats are allowed to sail. The southern pier hosts the Ravenna Sailing Club, the Ravenna Yacht Club and the A.N.M.I.
